Get to Know Dr. Shah
Shalini M. Shah, MD, FAAP
Dr. Shah is a board-certified pediatrician and before opening Village Pediatrics, she spent 5 years at Northside Cherokee Pediatrics in Woodstock, GA cultivating their outpatient pediatric practices. She has loved being a part of the Cumming and Vickery Community for the past eight years and has grown Village Pediatrics at Vickery from a dream into the practice it is today. Raised in Alpharetta, Dr. Shah now lives in Vickery with her husband, Chet, three young children, Dylan, Sophia & Zara, two dogs, Carson & Kelce and four cats, Mr. Wobbles, Zeus, Goldie & Simba!
Dr. Shah is credentialed with Northside Hospital and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Dr. Bansari Modi, MD, MPH
Pediatrician
Dr. Modi is our newest Villager and joined our office in 2025. She is a board-certified pediatrician who completed her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University. While at LSU she also graduated with a Masters in Public Health with a 4.0 GPA! Dr. Modi is married to her medical school sweetheart, Dr. Malak Modi who is a cardiologist with Wellstar Health Systems. In her free time Dr. Modi loves to travel & spend time with her family. She is fluent in English, Hindi & Gujurati and is ready to make Village Pediatrics at Vickery her new home!
Rachael lott, CPNP-PC
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Rachael is one of our amazing Certified Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioners. Rachael has over 10 years of experience in healthcare in an array of specialties. She began her nursing career in Oncology and soon moved to Pediatric Pulmonology where her passion for children & pediatrics blossomed. Rachael’s work with pediatric Cystic Fibrosis patients inspired her to return to school to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the hopes of truly making a difference in the lives of children and their families. Rachael obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from Emory University and graduated with honors all while working as a Registered Nurse during the Covid-19 pandemic. She has been working in outpatient pediatric primary care since graduation and not only does she have plenty of healthcare experience, she has invaluable real-life pediatric experience as a mom of 3! Rachael, along with her husband, Isaiah, are parents to Calvin and twins, Sammy & Shiloh!
CHANDRA ROSS
Pediatric Nurse/Nursing Clinical Coordinator
Chandra manages both clinical and administrative responsibilities (and really runs this place!). She has been with Dr. Shah for over 12 years and was an integral part of starting Village Pediatrics in 2018. You will see her smiling face throughout the office as she loves to be involved in all aspects of your care, from helping you check in all the way through to getting your prescriptions. Chandra has three grown children, but the true apples of her eye are her grandchildren. We are not sure if it is being a grandmother or her sweet personality, but even our littlest patients know that if they want something (like a popsicle or extra prizes), Ms. Chandra is the one to ask!
Morgin Cain
Registration/Scheduler
Morgin is the first person you’ll see when you walk through our front doors. She joined our office in 2023 and has been instrumental in helping our office grow seamlessly. With five years experience as a nanny and four years as a preschool teacher, coupled with her degree in Elementary Education, Morgin has an uncanny ability to connect with even our youngest patients. Morgin currently lives in Cumming with her puppy, Rocko and we are so lucky she chose Village Peds to be her work home!

Registered Nurse
Meg joined our Village in February 2023. We have been lucky enough to have Meg’s three daughters, Ellie, Emerson & Madelyn as part of our Village for the last year and when Meg told us she was ready to rejoin the Nursing world, we knew we wanted her here. Prior to having children, Meg worked at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in the Emergency Room and has plenty of experience caring for our some of sickest littles. Meg lives here in Cumming with her husband Ryan and their three gorgeous girls and we were blessed to welcome their baby brother, Owen, into our village November of 2023!
Daisy Astorga
Registered Nurse
Daisy joined Village Pediatrics in 2025 but it feels like she’s been here forever. She is a dedicated Pediatric Nurse who radiates joy and warmth. Our patients love her because she makes them feel calm and comforted, parents love her because she makes them feel understood and heard, and we love her because she provides the very best care to all our Villagers. When Daisy isn’t working, she loves spending time with her boyfriend, Mike, and her family which includes 3 beautiful nieces & traveling the world!
kailan bradford
Registered Nurse
We were so happy to welcome Kailan and her sweet family to our Village and know you will love her as much as we do! Kailan graduated from Clemson University in 2022 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and has had experience ranging from critical care to school nursing. Kailan & her husband, Deven, live here in Vickery with their two darling babies, Carter & Harper and enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling in their free time!
